Wearlon® 2020.99 - Interior Easy Clean Wall and Wood Coating -
APPLICATION GUIDE AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Wearlon® 2020.99 is a silicone-epoxy top-coat, having unique release properties. It is supplied as a clear coating with excellent clarity and thus is ideal for over coating existing substrates without changing the overall appearance of the painted surfaces. Additionally, Wearlon® 2020.99 adheres to a broad range of substrates including metals. This silicone-epoxy is quite unique in that it can be coated over different surfaces including latex painted walls, resulting in protection of those surfaces from stains, adhesive tapes, and abrasion. Furthermore, Wearlon® 2020.99 can be readily re-coated, if desired, with conventional latex paints if one wants to change the color or repaint the surface.
Before mixing, shake or stir each component until homogenous. Wearlon® 2020.99 is a 2 component product packaged in 1 Gallon and 5 Gallon kits which contain the proper ratio of ingredients. The entire contents of each container should be mixed together.
For quantities less than the pre-packaged kit, mix as follows: To 16 parts of the A component, mix in 2 parts of the B component. Mix the A and the B components until completely blended. Spray or roll immediately.
Thinning and Clean up
In most cases it is not necessary to thin Wearlon® 2020.99. If you find it necessary to thin Wearlon® 2020.99 you may add up to 5% DRINKING WATER. Clean up by using soap and water while Wearlon® 2020.99 is in an uncured state. For best results clean all equipment as soon as application is complete.
Application and Recoating
Product can be rolled, brushed or sprayed. For best results, spray Wearlon® 2020.99 with airless spray equipment. Conventional spray equipment works well and provides a slight orange peel finish. Wearlon® 2020.99 can also be applied by brush or roller, preferably a sponge roller or sponge brush for a smoother result.
CAUTION: Wearlon® 2020.99 will result in a Satin finish after application. Always keep a record or a sample of the original paint that was coated with Wearlon® 2020.99 in case there is a future need to duplicate any surfaces that might have been damaged.
